Game Day Eats

It’s Sunday and you’ve got hungry friends and family over for the game. Excite your guests by letting them top their own pizzas!

You don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen during the game, so do yourself a favor and pick up your favorite pre-baked pizza crusts to save some time.

To make 4 12″ pizzas, you’ll also need:

  • One 16 oz bag of shredded whole milk or part-skim mozzarella
  • One 14 oz container of your favorite prepared pizza sauce
  • Various pizza toppings, such as sliced pepperoni, sliced fresh mushrooms, diced green peppers or onions, and hot peppers. The more choices you offer, the more creative your guests can get!

To prepare:

Follow the directions on your pre-baked pizza crust package. Typically, you’ll want to crank your oven to its highest temperature setting, then watch the pizza carefully until the cheese is fully melted and starting to bubble. With a pre-baked crust, this will usually take 5-10 minutes. If your oven doesn’t get hot enough to fully cook your toppings, try throwing the pizza under your broiler for one minute before removing it from the oven to serve.

For an extra pop of flavor, try sprinkling garlic powder, grated parmesan or red pepper flakes on the pizza. You can also brush the pizza with extra virgin olive oil just before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
